Call to Order – Regular Town Meeting was called to order by Town Chair, L Updike on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 8:57 p.m.  Those present were Supervisors V Pogue and D Yelk, Clerk J Ramsfield, Treasurer C Yelk, Patrolman W Dorshorst, K Bailey, L Wood, D Kalmerton, N Choudoir, and R Fetterly.

Pledge of Allegiance.   The Pledge of Allegiance was led by V Pogue.

Statement of Public Notice – The chair directed that the minutes show that notice of this meeting was published in The Star and posted on the three Town bulletin boards April 10th.
Approve Minutes of Prior Meetings: delayed until next meeting.

Consider/take action: Friends of McCarthy Park – K Bailey, Friends of McCarthy Park President, gave an overview of the history of McCarthy Park and its master plan. She also talked about the activities that are available in the park. The Friends of McCarthy Park were also present to ask if the Town Patrolmen would help with clearing the parks parking lot in the winter when needed. Patrolmen, W Dorshorst, agreed to check out the area and get back to the Friends of McCarthy Park.

Set Schedule for Road Tour: April 22, 2014 was selected for the road tour. The board members and town patrolmen will meet at the Town Hall at 9 a.m.

Consider/take action: Notice of Hearing-Petition of Dane County for declaratory ruling pursuant to s.s. 227.41(5) regarding the determinations by the Dept. of Revenue regarding Dane Count’s levy limit. – J Ramsfield reported that M Hazelbaker had replied and that it was not necessary for a town representative to attend the hearing. No further action needed.

Consider/take action: review draft parking ordinance for town roads. – Moved by D Yelk, second by V Pogue to remain with the current parking ordinance.
