Town Board Minutes 4/10/17

Call to Order: Chairman L Updike called the regular meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. at the Town Hall, 5556 Twin Lane Road. Supervisor D Yelk, Clerk J Ramsfield, Treasurer C Yelk, Road Patrolman W Dorshorst, J Seltzner, and K Weisensel were present.  

Statement of Public Notice: Record in the minutes that the notice of this meeting was posted on the three Town bulletin boards and website on April 6, 2017.

Pledge of Allegiance: D Yelk led the pledge.

Approve Minutes from prior meeting:  Moved by D Yelk, second by L Updike to approve minutes from the 3/13/17 and 3/27/17 Town Board meetings as presented. 

Public Comment: None presented.

Road Report/Set date for road tour:  W Dorshorst reported work has been completed and continues on road patching and tree trimming.  Discussed recent equipment repair work, and shared preparations to begin shouldering the roads.  The road tour will be on Friday, 4/14/17 at 7:30 am. 

Consider/take action Driveway Permit Fees:  Moved by D Yelk, second by L Updike to change driveway fees to $2,050.00, $2,000.00 for the driveway escrow, and $50.00 for the driveway inspection fees.

Consider/take action Re: Hall Rental:  Moved by D Yelk, second by L Updike to rent the Town Hall facility to residents, property owners, employees and non-profit organizations.

Installation of Elected Town Officials:  Installed offices of the Chairman, Supervisor 1, Supervisor 2, Clerk and Treasurer.  Constable to be installed 4/11/17 at the Town Office.  Official elected officer duties to begin 4/18/17.

Consider/take action Re:  Employee Handbook:  Moved by D Yelk, second by L Updike to approve the changes as presented.

Committee Updates
Plan Commission   Meeting 4/17/17.
EMS   Discussed considerations to a possible contract with the Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.
Fire  Discussed closing of the 2016 financial records, and possible date for budget rebate, multiple year projects, and the future of contracts on intergovernmental agreements all participating members.
Parks   Next meeting is 4/11/17, next workday is 4/15/17. 

Audit/Pay Bills: Moved by D Yelk, second by L. Updike to approve the bills as presented with the hand written addition.

Internal Audit: Audit was completed at the 3/27/17 town Board meeting

Old business/new business/correspondence: Annual meeting set for 4/25/17.  Items to include for the next annual meeting: business as usual and the option for residents of the municipality to opt out of county zoning.
