Call to Order The meeting was
called to order at 7:35 P.M. by chairperson Lyle Updike. Supervisors
Vernon Pogue and Doug Yelk, clerk Claudia Quick and deputy clerk Joan
Rademacher were present. No other person was in attendance.
Statement of Public Notice
The chair directed that the minutes show that notice of the Town Board
meeting was published in the January 6 issue of the Star. Copies
were also posted on the three town bulletin boards on January 7, 2004.
Pledge of Allegiance The
Pledge of Allegiance was led by Claudia Quick.
Approve Minutes of Prior Meeting
Moved by Doug Yelk, second by Vernon Pogue to approve the minutes as
presented from the December 27, 2004 meeting. Motion carried. Voting
AYE: Updike, Pogue and Yelk

Report on Town Roads Dennis
Farrell did not attend the meeting. He asked the clerk to report that
they are using a lot of salt due to the weather.
Consider and Tentatively Adopt
Ordinance related to Parking Restrictions on Town Roads The
board reviewed the ordinance. Moved by Doug Yelk, second by Vernon Pogue
to tentatively adopt ordinance related to parking restrictions striking
Section 2 and in Section 4 striking and/or section 2.
Motion carried.

Comment on Petition by Midland
Builders to seek annexation to City of Sun Prairie
After discussion consensus was that the
Town is opposed to this annexation based on the following concerns:

Timing
of the annexation
-
Extension of the near eastside interceptor across areas of the Town
accelerating development.
Chairman Updike will attend the public
hearing and offer comments on January 11, 2005 at the City.
Review and Take Action re: Proposed
revised EMS contract The Board reviewed the revised EMS
contract. After discussion consensus was that no action be taken until
we receive a recommendation from the EMS Commission.
Audit and Pay Bills Moved by
Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to approve the bills as presented with
the additions listed. Motion carried.

Old Business/New Business

Repot on the Donation of Land by SP Volunteer Firefighters –
Chairman Updike gave a short report.

Pat
Anderson, Dane County Zoning Inspector stopped by the Town office
and stated that from now on all violations will be given 1 warning
and then will be cited. All complaints received must be in writing.
Correspondence

Drainage Board meeting will be held at the Town Hall on January 11.

Dane
County Towns Association Meeting is scheduled for January 12 at the
Town of Madison.

AD HOC
Committee Meeting to be held on January 20.

The next Town Board meeting was set for Monday, January 24, 2005 at 7:30
P.M. Moved by Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to adjourn this meeting.
