The Town Board of the Town of Sun
Prairie met on Monday, October 29, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town
Hall, 5556 Twin Lane Road, Marshall, WI.
Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by
chairperson Lyle Updike. Supervisors Vernon Pogue and Doug Yelk,
clerk Claudia Quick and treasurer Cindy Yelk were present. Michelle
Oldenberg was also present for a portion of the meeting.
Statement of
Public Notice
The chair directed that the minutes show notice of the meeting was
published in the October 25, 2007 issue of The Star; notice was
also faxed to the Capital Times. Copies were also posted on
the three town bulletin boards on October 26, 2007.
Pledge of Allegiance Cindy Yelk led the pledge.
Approve Minutes of Prior Meetings Moved by Vernon Pogue,
second by Doug Yelk to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2007 Town
Board Meeting.

Allow Public Comment, Consider and Take Action re: Petition #9783
by R. Faulkner and M. Oldenberg to change the zoning from A-1 Ex Ag
and RH-2 Rural Homes to RH-1 Rural Homes to allow expansion and zoning
compliance for existing residential parcels on property located at
2426 and 2448 Gaston Road, section 33. Michelle Oldenberg
explained that she is increasing her lot size to allow her to board
her own horse. Currently the horse is being boarded elsewhere. Her
neighbor was willing to sell a small portion of her lot. Moved by
Doug Yelk, second by Vernon Pogue to approve zoning change. Doug
reported that the plan commission recommends approval.

Consider and Take Action re: Preliminary Certified Survey Map for
Faulkner/Oldenberg. Moved by Dug Yelk, second by Vernon Pogue to
approve the CSM with the addition of the neighboring use language.

Public Hearing for Amendment to Weight Limit Ordinance adding
portion of Twin Lane Road. No one appeared to speak concerning
the amendment.
Consider and Take Action re: Amendment to Weight Limit Ordinance
adding portion of Twin Lane Road. This amendment adds the portion
of Twin Lane Road north of the railroad tracks to the list of Town
Roads that are restricted to 10 tons or less. Moved by Doug Yelk,
second by Vernon.

Consider and Take Action re: Resolution allowing the Clerk to
Appoint Registration Deputies. The resolution allows the Clerk to
appoint registration deputies for use on Election Day to assist with
registration of non-registered voters as they come to the polls.

Set Next Meeting Date/Adjournment. The next meeting date was
