The Town Board of
the Town of Sun Prairie met on Monday, April 28, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. at
the Town Hall, 5556 Twin Lane Road, Marshall, WI.
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by chairperson Lyle
Updike. Supervisors Vernon Pogue and Doug Yelk and clerk Claudia Quick
were present.
Statement of
Public Notice The chair directed that the minutes show notice of the
meeting was published in the April 24, 2008 issue of The Star. Copies
were also posted on the three town bulletin boards on April 26, 2008.
Pledge of
Allegiance Doug Yelk led the pledge.
Approve Minutes
of Prior Meetings Moved by Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to
approve the minutes of the April 14, 2008 Town Board meeting.

Report on Town
Roads Dennis Farrell reported clay spots have been dug out of
Baxter and Runaround Roads; gravel was put in its place. He will be
using cold mix to cover some of the rough areas.

Action re: Budget Adjustments.
There was discussion
concerning the Highway Budget and the proposed roadwork along with other
maintenance projects that are showing up following the winter. Lengthy
discussion centered on the different options, what could be postponed
and what needed immediate attention. The chair asked that people come
to the next meeting with budget to date and estimates for the remainder
of the year.
Moldenhauer
rezone petition Tabled by the plan commission, therefore item was
removed from Town Board agenda. No action.

Action re: County Ordinance Amendment #54 relating to Conditional Use
Permits. Moved by Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to approve the
Amendment #54.

Code Discussion concerning parts of the code. Doug Yelk will work

Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to adopt, by resolution, WisDOT fee schedule
for FEMA applications.

The Town chairs and Village president will be meeting on Wednesday,
April 30, 2008 at the Town of York.

Bills The Board reviewed the list of invoices as of April 28.

addition of the handwritten items.
