Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by chairperson Lyle Updike. Supervisors Vernon Pogue and Doug Yelk, treasurer Cindy Yelk and clerk Claudia Quick were present. No one else was present.

Statement of Public Notice The chair directed that the minutes show notice of the meeting was published in the September 4 issue of The Star. Copies were also posted on the three town bulletin boards on September 5, 2008.

Pledge of Allegiance Claudia Quick led the pledge.

Approve Minutes of Prior Meetings Moved by Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to approve the minutes of the August 25, 2008 Town Board meeting.

Report on Town Roads The clerk reported for the road patrolman, Dennis Farrell, in his absence. The railroad will be working on the Twin Lane crossing in the next several weeks. Following the completion of their work, Payne and Dolan will pave the remaining area of the crossing and patch the flood-damaged area. Mr. Farrell would like to finish the culvert work prior to the snow season. The county highway department does not think they will have time, Mr. Farrell will find another contractor.

Consider and Take Action re: Petition #9969 by Jay Freitag to separate 13.8 acres from the remainder of his farm. Moved by Doug Yelk, second by Vernon Pogue to approve.

Consider Preliminary Adoption of Fire Prevention Code No action, Board is waiting for comment from Sun Prairie Fire Chief.

Consider and Take Action re: EMS arbitration issue. The Board reviewed the EMS Agreement and suggested two changes. Section 3.02 revise "or an member municipality" to state "or a member municipality". Section 3.08 revise "motions may be made or seconded by any Town or Village Board member" to state, "Motions may be made and/or seconded by any Town or Village Board member". Moved by Doug Yelk, second by Vern Pogue to adopt the EMS agreement.
