The Town Board of the Town of Sun Prairie met
on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 5556 Twin
Lane Road, Marshall, WI.Call to Order The meeting was called
to order at 7:30 p.m. by chairperson Lyle Updike. Supervisors Vernon
Pogue and Doug Yelk, clerk Claudia Quick, and office assistant Jo Ann
Ramsfield were present. Gerald Bradley was also present.
Statement of Public Notice The chair directed that the minutes
show notice of the meeting was published in the October 23 issue of
The Star. Copies were also posted on the three town bulletin boards
on October 23, 2008.
Pledge of Allegiance Doug Yelk led the pledge.
Approve Minutes of Prior Meetings Moved by Vernon Pogue, second
by Doug Yelk to approve the minutes of the October 27, 2008 Town Board
meeting as written after amending the date (Oct 13 in the first line to
read Oct 27).

Presentation from the Public Gerald Bradley asked the board to
consider a new culvert on Town Hall Drive just north of
Bailey/ Town Hall intersection and South of
Veith’s driveway. The existing culvert south of Bailey/ Town Hall
intersection appears too high for the water to move out of ditch.
Supervisor Yelk will talk with Dennis Farrell, Road Patrolman, regarding
idea.
Report on Roads North Town
Hall Drive will be closed Nov 10, 11, 12 due to repairs being made to
the railroad crossing and the storm culvert. While replacing culvert on
Town Hall Drive November 10 it was determined the culvert for the Krebs
field driveway was missing. They will be asked to install a new culvert.
Consider and Take Action re: Adoption of Amendments to the Town’s
Comprehensive Plan Ordinance. A motion by Doug Yelk, second by
Vernon Pogue to adopt the Amendments to the Town’s Comprehensive Plan
Ordinance as written. Paper copies will be mailed to the county.

Consider and Take Action re: County Ordinance Amendment # 21 Creating
Small Lot Exclusive Ag District. A motion by Doug Yelk, second by
Vernon Pogue to approve County Ordinance Amendment # 21 Creating Small
Lot Exclusive Ag District.

Voting Nay: none

Consider and Take Action re: EMS arbitration issue. Lyle Updike
reported that he feels progress is being made.
Audit and Pay Bills The Board reviewed the list of invoices.
Moved by Vernon Pogue, second by Doug Yelk to pay the November bills.
