being from Scott’s Construction. Moved by Doug Yelk second by

Another bid was
submitted by Struck & Irwin for Slurry Seal. The board members and
D Farrell discussed the pros and cons of Slurry Seal versus
Sealcoating. The price per square foot for Slurry Seal is more cost
competitive then previous years and may be considered for future
road repair.
Town Road Report
Traffic study for Bailey
Road has started, mowing of road ditches will begin this week
providing it doesn’t rain, shoulder patching is complete, and the
grader repairs are progressing.
D Farrell reported that
there is damage to LaRue Fields Lane on the north side (Lots 3 &
4). There is also a construction road to the west of 2809 LaRue
Fields (behind Water Works) giving access to the interstate
construction. The heavy trucks use this road and exit onto LaRue
Fields Road to get to County TT.
Discussion/Action re Sylver Ridge, Faber and Alvin Roads
The Viken Annexation has triggered concern that heavy
equipment may use Sylver Ridge, Faber and Alvin Roads to
access the annexed land. The board members and D Farrell discussed
adding these roads to the town’s Weight Limits Road Ordinance or
changing the class of road. The board’s objective is to protect
town roads from excessive use resulting in higher road repair
costs.
Consider and Take Action re: Resolution 6-14-2010 concerning Town
becoming self provider in use of Statewide Voter Registration System
(SVRS)
After
discussion and explanation of the SVRS program a motion by Doug Yelk
