order at 7:00 P.M. Supervisors V Pogue and D Yelk, clerk C Quick,
treasurer C Yelk, office assistant J Ramsfield, highway patrolmen D
Farrell and W Dorshorst were present.
Statement of Public Notice
The chair directed that the minutes show that notices of the Public
Hearing, Budget Summary and Special Town Meeting were posted on the
three town bulletin boards on November 19, 2010. The same notices and
Town Board Agenda were published in the November 18, 2010 issues of
The Star.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING OF
THE ELECTORS
Notice is hereby given of
a Special Town Meeting of the Electors of the Town of Sun Prairie on
Monday, November 22, 2010. This Special Town Meeting will follow the
completion of the Public Hearing on the Proposed Town Budget which
begins at 7:00 P.M. The Town Board calls this Special Town Meeting of
the Electors pursuant to Section 60.12 (1)(b) of Wisconsin Statutes
for the following purposes:
To
Authorize the Town Board to hire a town officer(s) as an employee and
set an hourly wage pursuant to Section 60.10 (1)(g) and Section 60.10
(2)(L) of Wisconsin Statutes
Moved by J Ramsfield, second by V Pogue to authorize the Town Board to
hire a town officer(s) as an employee and to set the hourly wage at
$18.00 not to exceed $5000 pursuant to Section 60.10 (1)(g) and
Section 60.10 (2)(L) of Wisconsin Statutes. Doug Yelk abstained from
voting.

compensation of elected town officials for the term of office
beginning April, 2011 for two years pursuant to Sec. 60.32 of Wis.

Updike, second by C Quick to set compensation of elected town
officials for the term of office beginning April 12, 2011 for two
years as follows:
Chairman $3500 annual
salary with $50 per diem for April 2011-2013
Supervisors $2500 annual
salary with $50 per diem for April 2011-2013
Clerk - $$23,296 annual
salary April 2011-2013
Treasurer - $23,296 annual
salary April 2011-2013
Constable - $1,500 annual
salary April 2011-2013

approve the total 2011 Highway Expenditures pursuant to Section 81.01
(3) of Wisconsin Statutes

Expenditures of $1,038,555 which is consistent with the proposed
budget pursuant to Section 81.01 (3) of Wisconsin Statutes.

Authorize Town Borrowing pursuant to Section 60.10 (1)(a) of Wisconsin
Statutes.

$30,000 over the total budget amount without authorization of the
electorate. (A larger amount would require the approval of the
electors of the Town at a Town Meeting.)

the 2010 Town
Tax Levy
to be paid in 2011 pursuant to Section 60.10 (1)(a) of Wisconsin

Moved by C Yelk, second by C Quick to adopt the 2010 Tax Levy of
$625,567. This sets the mill rate for the Town of Sun Prairie at
2.40101.
